    There are cheap ones and really really expensive ones, but be prepared to pay about that price for anything decent.

    You could pick up a parralax viewfinder from a Bolex. These are click adjustable from 16 to 150 on the 16mm though the framing would be wrong for super8. Possibly there is a bolex 8mm one?

    Why are you thinking of getting a viewfinder?? Are you the cameraman or the director?? If you are the cameraman then you don't need one. They are great tools to show the director a shot without him ever touching the camera(which a good director knows not to do anyway). I have used some of the cheaper ones--Like those sold by Visual Products. I have seen but never used the nice ones. The nice ones use the lens from the camera so then you know for sure what you are looking at. So you would buy on in PL or some other mount. However, they are spendy.
